HdL +server wont connect help!

Im trying to move a game (DVD backup obviously!) from my computer to my ps2.

I know exactly what to do but it wont connect to the networking server.

Can somone cleverer than me please tell me please tell me how I know which server to connect it to? or why it's not working. Thanks in advance

Be a little more specific in your question. Are you using HDL-Dump? You have a front-end for it? We need a bit more info.

Explain all the steps you have taken so far (hopefully this will fill in the above request for more info), and we will do our best to fix your issue.

EDIT: Just re-read your post. It sounds like you did not configure an IP for your PS2. you need to create a folder called SYS-CONF on your mc. Then create a file called ipconfig.dat (I think...its been a while since I did this). You can search this site(or google) to find out what goes in this file. Its basically your PS2 IP, a gateway and a subnet. If you dont want to do this, the default IP should be 192.168.0.10. Reconfigure your network to use the 192.168.0.XXX IP class and you should be able to connect with no problems.
