Been a long time reader on the forums but this is the first time posting. Wanted some other readers thoughts and advice about the new Home Theater I'm shopping for. I'm not brand new to this whole game, I've had a Home Theater in a Box for 5+ years now, but I'm ready to take the leap to separate components. Currently I'm looking at a budget between $1500-$2000. I've listened to and really like what Polk Audio has to offer. And I'm currently looking a Yamaha reciever. I'll post some links to the componets I'm looking at. Any thoughts, advice, or otherwise will greatly be appreciated.

Hi chevy,

My setup consists of 4 Polk Monitor 50's( 2 front main, 2 rear surround) along with the CS-1 center channel speaker, Velodyne DPS-10 sub, plus a Yamaha HTR-5750 receiver... These speakers sounded amazing with or without a sub to me but I went ahead and purchased a sub anyways to get that extra bass the Polks lacked, these speakers have crisp highs and tight bass, beleive me you won't be dissapointed with this purchase.. If you don't mind me suggesting a sub by Velodyne, HSF, or Outlaw... These are the best subs you get in my opinion.. Polk makes awesome speakers but I'm not sure about their subs. Thats going to be a sweet setup, enjoy..
