Hey, my comp desperatley needs an upgrade. I'm dying out here, I've been playing World Of Warcraft (a large-scale MMORPG) with 256MB.

:-/

Anyway, please comment on this new rig [excluding a case].
I just simply need to know if this will honestly work and if you believe any problems will arise. Its all found on NewEgg. Thanks!

Yes it can, it is just a generic fitting that manufacturers stick on loosely. Your MOBO will have one to replace it, with all the plugs & socket holes are in the correct place.
I have just made a PC, Gainward 7900GT 256MB PCI- express & 3700 Athlon, just like yours. To say it flys is an understatement!
I prefer Nvidia, due to better driver support.

Take Note: That power supply does not contain PCI-E connectors for the video cards.

Well, I had considered going with nVidia's SLI stuff, but I the problem was my budget would only support 1 real good video card, or 2 crappy one's [for SLI].

I went with the ATI card, friends helped me choose.

Hey, Chipps i am getting a 4.0 pentium D. "2.6"
but right know i have an 2.2 3700.. and they work really well

Sorry to say but many of vVidia's cards kick the crap out to ATI a good card in the 6800 series, very good price and still slightly better than most ATI's, and many are SLI ready.

Not true.. At All.... check toms for benchmarks.. the ati cards are a better value.. such as 512mg of ram with 256bit for 130.00 ofer at newegg.. X600.....

so chips... good luck buddy...

ignore basic ram on graphics cards it's misleading it's the bandwidth you need to look at
how fast can it deliver the goods not how much itcan store
