Japan games (backup) don't work with Swap Magic. You must burn real Noth American games.

What version is your PS2, and how are you swapping between swap magic and your game disc? Also what version is your swap magic?

sorry about that.
but it's really a hassle, i waited over 5 weeks to recieve the mod stuff, and blew two playstations trying to do this. and now it's not working for some reason.
i didnt try using backup disks. i ask the mod company what i should get if i wanted to play this japenese game, and the recommended that i should buy the flip top and the swap magic disk. and i got both, and it's not working :-\

wait a minute...
I get the toc disk thing when I accidently hit eject after I swap disks...
After you take out the swap magic disc and put in your original, japanese, backup whatever, are you manually closing the tray by hand and then locking it back in by reversing with the slide card? I get that error when I accidently hit eject to send the disc in...

You may need to rebuild it because even though its an original, its an import (that's why you need to use swap magic), and since you are using swap magic, there's a upper limit on the toc size of the game
