Ive got a problem converting one of my old tv series, one of the episodes are in avi and i want to convert it to mpeg so that i can put it on dvd but midway through converting, whatever software i use states that my avi is faulty and cuts off converting at approx 60-80% complete.
Any ideas guys????????
I have used winavi, cucusoft, tmpgenc 2.5, divxtodvd.

This may or may not work for your avi but it's worth a try. When I had a problem with TMPGEnc stopping at a certain percentage, several times, it was suggested to try DivFix to cut out the errors and it worked. Just enter your file, check keep origonal, check cut out bad parts and then check errors. Here:http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divfix.html
