Apparently, this Halo3 screen was shown at the bungie.net forums. Please keep in mind that when the shot was leaked, it was quickly pulled and bannings were handed out for everyone who responded to the thread. Do not talk about this in the bungie.net forums or you too will probably be banned.

there is nothing too interesting there, that we did not already know, excpet for classic mode which interests me lot, i wonder if it will be halo 1 and 2 single player but with hd graphics, or if you can play multiplayer with all the old maps, there are loads of answers for this, could be interesting.

p.s. bungie must be pissed off.

That would be pretty cool to be able to play the old ones in High Def, Rabbity. But no space on a standard dual layer disc for all three versions. Maybe we'll have to buy the upcoming addon HD DVD drive if we want that feature.
I don't think bungie is pissed at all though, I think the leak was intentional. What with the announcement of the PS3 pricing and the hype around that, Microsoft has to keep those embers glowing about Halo 3, and the emphasis around their system.

If your fish seems sick, put it back in the water.

seems fake just due to the fact theres a y button for friends

llongtheD, i think they would have enough space as, games liek halo and halo 2 wouldb very easy for bungie to compress, but even if they did not fit on one disk thebn they would just put it on 2.

@wooopz

Your right man. They would not put a Y button on the screen for friends. With the new Xbox 360 you must press the X in the center of the controller and click the friends icon to view your friends list. Sorry to disappoint you guys! lol

I dunno but that screen looks too cluttered either way

I would think they would make a "Multiplayer" option and then xbl, split screen, and system link would all go into that. The way it looks, does not seem professional, i would think bungie would make it more organized.

Either way bunige said it was a fake, a pretty fake, but a fake none the less.

Shouldn't we perhaps be discussing this

Most places seem to agree that it is rubbish..but just maybe??

First off, you can tell that that SMG was placed there by someone using photoshop because the graphics in the backround are much better, lol.

Second the backround could be legit but I don't know. It could be from another game or made in some program!

ummm i dont think im tripping but when i put my halo 2 disc sign in my profile and then i sign in my xobx live tag as well... and i can be at the main menu and i see the Y button as well.... so this pic can be true....

ill try later puttin on halo 2 sign in profile thne sign in to xbox live then see if i can be on the main page of halo 2 .... just to confirm it ... but im almost 100% positive that you can be signed in to your xbox live friends and be on the main page of the game as well and see the big Y button

Umm that screen is fake because:

1)take a look at the background.see those circle things behind the halo 3 letters?those are in the exact same position in every photo.
2)look at the structure in the background.that is the strange artifact that is seen in the halo 3 teaser trailer.im sure that bungie would put a better background than that...
3)look at the menu letters.the letters closely resemble the spiderman font, not to mention that in both photos the same option is highlighted.
4)like most of you already noticed, the y bottom at the bottom right corner of the screen,no need for that since you can use the xbox guide button(button in between the start and select buttons)to check on your friends.

thats more than enough to prove that the screen is fake.anyone can do it.they can just put the 360 in photo mode and zoom on the pic and hav perfectly fit on the screen and take the shots and post em on the bungie forums hoping that some overhyped kids believe that the screen is real.

bottom line:screens fake,nuff said
