DVD+r are actually way better than -r IF your burner can booktype them to dvd-rom,what burner have you got?. If it cant then it might not read properly in certain older models of ps2. So if you cant booktype use -r, and use top quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatem for perfect burns.

My PS2 is an older version, and I am using Samsung DVD burner and the DVD Decrypter software to burn PS2 games. I have burnt PS2 games on DVD+R, but why they cannot work?

there are a hundred reasons why the back up did not work.
You do a a modded PS2 system right?
mine hated +R discs but my burner could not booktype so i always used the -R
Now my new burner can and i tested one game and it worked fine.
I still need to learn if i am booktyping correctly since it is new to me.

Hi I was in the same boat as you a while back as Samsung drives doesn't have very good compatability when mixed with minus format and decent media if I were you I'd either get a burner (BenQ/Plextor) that can booktype plus format to DVD-ROM or get a Liteon or Pioneer for minus format.

It'll save you alot of money in the long run, also once you've got a new burner you can sell your old one on Ebay for around £30.
