swapdisks are being devoloped but currently do not work do to the fact that the xbox 360 needs a digital signature in order to run coded software
there is a mod using a hacked dvd firmware but this means no xbox live ever
so your kinda screwed
this is why also the xbox 360 isn't doing well in japan
in japan they passed a law that states you are not allowed to rent or resell video games because of this law people went to mod chips to run illegal backups of games but when the 360 came out and people couldn't use mod chips no one wants to purchase a 360
You are reading a mindless signature, please stop reading it now it is mindless, one can only presume you are mindless since you are still reading this mindless signature, Oh my god get a life you mindless person, whats the matter with you, dont you have a girlfreind? mindless mindless mindless
Now just looking at this with years of experience what I see...
The xbox samsung firmware was hacked in early 2003.. the knowlege gained was passed to the chip makers who took another 6 months or so with the info from the softmodders and tsop flashers all rolled in to get a development product released to the market..The samsung firmware hack has just been released now it's pretty worthless..
The developers (the Specialist and co) of the 360 firmware hack have said publicly that they have no intention whatsoever of releasing the hack to the public.. They have posted some rather dodgy film that may or may not be proof that they can do it.(was it on Ad that I ended up defending the team from a tirade of abuse..or was that on XS?).mostly I think to shut people up and to prove that work is still ongoing.. I think, going on the timescale with the xbox, there may be a modchip or software exploit sometime 2nd quarter of next year..and we may as well just shut up and wait for it...going on and on about it won't make it come any faster.. Other than that..Contribute to the work..open up a 360 and try to intercept the bootloader code.. but I bet if you do you won't go telling the world..maybe just team xecuter... lol
with the hacked dvd firmware i will never be able to play on live ever if so will there ever be a way to play backups and go live please get back guys im thinking about the hack

Do you have the first idea what the firmware hack is about??..The only use of it is piracy..every game needs to be modified at code level to exploit the media check to return an OK every time without messing up the checksum and the signing.. I'm a programmer and I know what it takes to achieve this, and I can't duplicate it... (Well with some more details from the team I probably could but I'm not going to waste 6 months of my life to copy one game that I can buy in a shop!) There is no point thinking about doing this hack.. It isn't possible, or realistic to think you can do this.. That's why it isn't being released..there isn't any point... Top marks to the team who have worked this out so far...but I think this isn't the way it will be cracked anyway...just a small part of the overall effort that will end in a proper hack..There's more to it than running a copy of signed code.. If you have the facilities to print disks you can copy them anyway.. It's getting round the signing altogether that will be the solution...and there is a notable silence from the bios/bootloader hacking teams.. If they are on to something they won't say until they have it cracked wide open...That way MS don't get the chance to plan for the crack.. and we get a good heap of moddable machines to play with...
Consider this...most people don't even have a basic understanding of how a softmod works...so the bootloader in the 360?? Think again..MS have learned from the past and put the knowlege to very good use..It isn't going to be so easy this time...Maybe it will never be cracked..The only reason IMHO people never got jailed for cracking it last time is that MS were more interested in how people were tearing holes in it, than what it was going to cost them...after all you still have to buy an xbox to mod it!!
