I have a modded slim PS2, unfortunately I have no clue as to the type of chip it was modded in the middle east when I was there. My son has an old PS2 with a DSM4 EZI Pro in it. With my system you have to hold the power button for a three count to put it in PS1 mode. Currently I'm trying to back up my copy of Silent Hill so that It'll play on my system. I know I did it correctly because it works fine on my son's PS2, but on mine I get the Red screen of Death. I'm using Verbatim CD-Rs, using CD-Clone to back up, and burning at x1 speed. My system will play the original just fine as well as all other types of media, (DVD, Music CDs, CD-R w/ music, DVD+Rs). Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm wondering if I tried Black faced CD-Rs, if that would work. HELP anyone
