You posted this info for the guy who had AVI trouble being read with TMPENG.

Downbload VirtualDUB and do the following. Will only take a few minutes.
1. open the avi in virtualdub
2. click video - direct stream copy
3. click audio - full processing mode
4. click audio - compression. Select no compression pcm and click ok
5. click file - save avi
The avi you save will be larger than the source but TMPGEnc should have no problem with it.


I also have similar problem, but my files are AVISEQ001.MPG and AVISEQ002.MPG You probably know thses are mpeg files from SVCD.

The problem i am having is that TMPENG will not recognize them saying "unsuported format or something like that". But if i create a project file .d2v through DVD2AVI which includes the above two files, TMPENG will accept them and process them. But the Audio file extracted with TMPENG will be silent or not doesn't exist at all, thought the file size will be around 200 MB.

So my question is if i pass the two MPG files through VirtualDUB just like you adviced the guy with the problem of AVI, will the two files be accepted in TMPENG without going trough DVD2AVI. Or is there another program out there that will allow me to process thouse two MPG files into one M2V and one MPA file, so i can use them to author my own personal DVD.
