Can't load old saved game from original ps2 games while using a back up with SWAP MAGIC, Please Help.

I just burned Dragon Quest VIII and I am having 2 problems. One, I have to start the game in NTSC mode, and every time I select Normal the screen flutters and it is in black and white and if I select NTSC a small portion of my screen is cut off at the bottom, why is this. Two, I use to own this game and I have it saved it on my memory card but my new back game will not read it and I have to start a new game. Is there a way to continue play my old game or do I have to just start all over?

1. Download DVD Decrypter and write ISO to your hard drive.

2. Download NTSC to PAL patcher with Yfix and patch the file then reburn.

The reason why you can't access your saved file is because of as region difference as you can't access saved PS2 games from one region to the other tried it already with PAL Need for Speed and NTSC need for Speed although I don't know whether patching it will resolve this issue as my TV accepts both formats so no need to patch away. :)
