When I launch battlefield 2 it starts up normaly and plays the intro fine and then static comes onto my screen, a womens voice says "Welcome to duty" and stops there and the static frezzes. After about 1 min. the screen turns black, and then nothing. This happens with all, none, or some of the patches installed.

i had that problem
try uninstall it
adn then install again
i m not sure if it will help u, but it worked for me
