Any advise welcome.
I tried to put in all the pertinent details:

1. I can rip the main movie fine with DVD Decrypter. In addition to ripping the main
movie, I rip the VTS_TS.* files and the VTS_01_0.* files.
2. I use IfoEdit95 to split to 2 DVD's
"Correct original IFO files" checked
VOB size = 1GB
3. I use IfoEdit96 to open the VTS_01_1.VOB and "Get VTS sectors" to update all ifo's (for both disk directories)
4. I make sure that I have the VIDEO_TS.* files and VTS_01_0.* files on both disks directories.

Now the problems start:

When I try to use RecordnowDX to burn a data DVD+RW (Sony media) (both the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directories) I get an error:
"Data Job Untitled1 Terminated with errors"

The log file displays the message:
"Sony DVD ... Stopped because of VIDEO_TS or AUDIO_TS DVD format error.

Then comes plan B:

I used ImgTools to burn an iso image to HD.
I then used DAEMON Tools to mount and view the image (successfully).

I then tried using DVD Decrypter to burn an ISO image to a Sony DVD+RW (set the speed to max. I believe).

After about 30% of writing is done DVD Decrypter stop and issues the error:

"I/O Error!
Device: [0:0:0] Sony...

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 00 ....
Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 599392..
Sense Area: 70 00 ...
Interpretation: Logical Unit is in process of becoming ready."

After clicking retry several times the burn continues and I actually got a play-able disk!

The next time I set the burn speed to 1x and the errors seemed less frequent.

So the first disk turned out to be playable, but the second was not (even though its iso image was play-able from the HD)

BTW, I've upgraded the Sony firmware to version 2.0f
OS=WinXPro

So...

1. Why can't I burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders with RecordNowDX?

2. Why does DVD Decrypter crap out on me and not burn the whole DVD without error?

3. What have I done wrong (with IfoEdit?) to not get the second disk play-able.

BTY, by play-able I mean the DVD+RW plays in the computer, my old Pioneer DVD-525 player, and PS2 player.

Sorry for being so winded. Thanks in advance if anyone cares to comment. This is my first time posting. I will be sure to try and return the favor by maybe even helping someone else.

Well, I hate to have to respond to my own post, but just in case someone else is having similar problems:

There is a somewhat obscure setting in RecordNowDX that should be unchecked:

Tools->Options->Data Disc->Recognize the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders per the DVD specification

This seems to work most of the time, however I've had better luck creating an iso image first with ImgTools and using RecordNowDX to burn the iso image.

All my burning errors went away when I started using the firewire port instead of the USB 2.0 port!

Jury's still out on this one.
