I've been trying to played back-ups of games and im not sure if its because my xbox says i have unknown bios. do i have to get certain ones to play the backups?

ok how is your xbox modded with a chip or softmod also if it's a chip did you ever flash the bios....

it has a chip and i'm not even sure what the flashed thing is, all i know is that someone else did it for me and it was my ex stepdads friend.

It seems like he flashed the chip with the wrong bios. Do you know which modchip you have?

yes you have stated this several time, now, please open your xbox and lo cate the chip name, then fllowing this tut http://www.xbox-scene.com/versions_1.php
figure out which version your xbox is, post back the results.
