a little bit of an add problem. i recently switched from using nero to using roxio. i burned 3 copies, and on all of them, as the movie progresses, the sound "out runs" the video, getting worse as the end approaches. i updated firmware and downloaded some updates, burned the same movies and 2 out of the three work fine,1 being the same. i burned the same three again and now one works fine and 2 are out of sync.i've used a combination of verbatim, sony and maxell dvd-r's.the inconsistancy is what's odd. these are divx files converted with vso divx to dvd, the .vob files are fine, so i'm leaning towards the roxio software as the problem. i liked nero but it didn't have an option to create dvd music discs or giga mp3's.

You might give the free trial of DVD Copy 4 Platinum a try or The Film Machine.

This is an age old problem with conversions.

In this case since reburning seems to result in different results each time, I'm wondering if it isn't your player that's at fault. Are you using a standalone player to replay? If so, what happens if you stop the replay and then restart? Does it resync or stay out of sync?

i've played them in a playstation 2 at home and an in dash dvd player in my truck and it is exactly the same thing in both, so i'm fairly sure it's the discs. the DivX files and the converted .VOB files play fine, so it's somewhere in the burn process i'm thinking, either the roxio software or the hp dvd burner. i heard very little bad about roxio before i got it, but so far i've had no luck.

I'm not a big Roxio fan myself. Try generating an image file (ISO) from your software and then burn that with ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter. If it's Roxio that's the culprit, then good burns from either program should result. Be sure to not burn at max speed. Limit your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed of the media for any media 8X or faster.

Also make sure you don't have both Roxio and Nero installed at the same time. Elements of the two programs can conflict.
