Helo guys,

This is abit off topic, but please stay with me and help as much as you can please.

I ahve a Panasonic SL-SX330 Portable CD player. It used to play both CD-R and CD-RW which I burned last time. Now when I play them with the CD-R(audio format) I burned today, it wont play.

It manages to read the table of contents. The track numbers and total time. But when it show's track 1, I get this 'tweet, tweet, tweet, ..." kind of sound, it wont play. I have cleaned the lens with isopropyl alcohol but to no avail. I played the CD on other CD players and it works, even with a very old player. But I want my portable player to play it.

Please help me guys. I know this isn't much about the disk but more about my CD player(lens which I suppose)..

Thanks alot. Looking forward to some replies...

Roger

sounds like the songs has been burned with a different format for what your cd player actually supports can you give me some more information like what you player can play (file format wise) and let me know what the files were you burned on the cd and what program you used to so it that would be really helpful :)

Hi Rickster, although you are a junior member, hope you would still contribute to some help here :)

The songs(original file) is in mp3 format. The format of the CD now burned is audio. I used Nero 6.6.0.16 to burn the disc.

The old CD-r's I burned still able to play on this CD player. Do u think it might be a disk quality prob? The brand I used is Toroko...:S I just bought a Mitsubishi brand CDr, I don't if this is any better disk. Or could it be the laser pot of my CD player is out of specs?

here's a quick look of my CD player: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001JXAZ2/ref=olp_product_detai...

Thanks!

write well i think its because you used Nero and because they are mp3 they are loads of programs to use to convert them but the most simple one will be to use windows media player if you have a decent pc and a good version of windows media player then you can burn an audio cd through that and it will comvert the mp3 tracks into an audio format that can be read by any player so try that and see how you get on

as for the cd's the best type is verbatim because they are so quality :)

hm... maybe try to use the CD's espesially for music (I saw Verbatim CD's of such kind). Company 100% guarantees the quality of music only if using this special CD's for music. But I don't beleive them, cause I didn't face any mistakes.

Possible.

Do u think WMP 10.00.00.3646 will work for the burn?

I'm using a LG GSA-4167B DVD/CD burner. Good? + Mitsubishi CDR :)

Anyway what about the laser pot(wavelengths) on my CD player?

yes WMP 10 will do it so just use that to burn the cd it will convert all of the mp3's into the correct format then burn them all if this still doesn't work then you know that it is a problem with something else let me know how you get on :)
