what exactly is a media center pc and what can you do on your xbox 360 with a media center pc? THANKS!

im still kind of confused can you use it as a DVR and I seen where this guy said he had it hooked up to all his tvs does he just mean he is streaming his stuff to all hid TV'S and how do you hook it up to all of your TV'S?

with media center you have the ability to stream tv to your pc, via a tv tuner. tv tuners can be for example internal/external...single/dual. there is a program i think called msn hot remote or something where as long as the pc is on and connected to the internet, you can actually select shows to record from any computer anywhere, which is nice. so yes your pc can act as a dvr. you can also take the shows you recorded and place them on a disk, edit out commercials ..etc. however HBO for example allows for one time only dvr, simply put you can record a movie to your pc but are unable to take that show and put it on a disk. im not sure if there is a known way around this, i havnt tried.

I know you might know this so don't take offense.A media center pc refer's to either a pc running windows xp media center(not xp pro or home)or a pc designed in a small box to look like a reciever(sorta)so it can sit out in your living room and take up less space.

If you don't have one of those, I'm afraid you don't have a media center pc.
