If you have a re-built image where the file order is different to the original PS2 disk (which is stressed as being important in all the tutorials) and the disk will not boot, is it possible to re-build from the 'non-booting' image and re-arrange the files into the original order to get a functioning image/disk? (this is assuming file order is the problem).

In other words are the files and their data still consistent if the image is re-built in the wrong order...or are the files and their data messed up permanently?

I suppose I am assuming that the reason that file order is important when re-building is that some games use direct physical addressing of the DVD to access game data rather than the file system to access data....if this is the case saving files in a different order means the file data moves? Can anyone confirm this...or perhaps there is a completely different reason why file order is important?

if you can get a iso off your burnt disk just rebuild it agin in the right order
