Hi there,
I am looking to buy a new home theater reciever. I have a 7.1 speaker system set up right now so I need a receiver that can play 7.1. If there is any ideas of the latest and greatest one out there please let me know. Thank you for all your help.

I would recommend Onkyo. They make some of the cleanest sounding receivers/amps around, and they are pretty reasonably priced. My second recommendation would be Yamaha, but they are a bit more pricey.
