Disk Covers making PS2 Games not play, help please!

I've recently backed up about 20-25 playstation 2 games, both CD and DVD. Today I printed out labels for all of them using stick labels and an inkjet.

When I went to play my backups, they no longer load. Some load, but then freeze, and others (that have worked countless times before without any problems) don't work at all.


When I look at the disk when its having problems, it seems to be trying to speed it up to read, but then slows down. The CD games still work though.

I think it might be the weight of the labels affecting the games. Has anyone else had any problems with this, any suggestions?

I'm using a PS2 slim

stick on labels do cause problems & are not recommended, get some printable discs & a cd/dvd printer if you really want to label them. you will probably have to back them up again & forget the stick on labels :-(

Agreed, just get a permanent marker and write the name of the game on the discs

agree with above, stick on label will cause you problems.
they make the disc spin off balance.
especially if they are not full labels that cover the whole discs and are just partial labels. That will really make them spin off balance.

A sharpie marker is your best friend.
Printable discs work ok too, or buy a burner that can do lightscribe and some lightscribe discs if you want that high quality professional look.

use a epson cd printer to print on discs it make to diff but with stick on labels you just asking for trouble
