Did Nintendo announce a release date for the Wii? Just for the sake of conversation, I am only going to buy the Wii if I see good games and more than just two...I am looking forward to play games like star wars on the Wii...
P.S.
How much in candian dollars should the Wii cost? If you only know the price in US dollars then specify that it is US...

The closest thing we have is a Quarter 4 release, for a price cheaper than the 360's core. (Less than $299 USD)

All the Wii is is Gamecube 1.5. So you figure the cube is 99 now, add 50 bucks, then another 50 for the Wii-mote. I See this thing at 199. Anthing higher and it is just not worth it. It doesn't have enough "under the hood" to justify a higher price than 200.

all nintendo consoles have been $199.99 at launch and withen a year, just like the cube, it will drop to 149.99. I'm also betting on a november release.

Wow that is exactly what people said about X360 and look at it now... just amazing, and I am sure the console's popularity and averything about it has shut the haters up.
And for the last time... Wii isn't about graphics, its about creating a new way of playing games. You people are such grahpic whores!! WHo cares if the graphics aren't REAL LIFE or like X360's graphics.... YOu don't have fun looking at the graphics, you have fun PLAYING the game. Graphics only enhance the gaming a little bit.

I already mentioned this in another thread, but at a conference a Nintendo rep said that the Wii will cost no more than 25,000 yen, which is around 221 USD. Conversion rates go up and down, so I think we'll see the Wii between 199 and 250, although I do hope it's the former.

I heard they are gonna release the Wii on Easter of next year. So parents can put Wii's in their kid's easter basket

Anyways, release date is Q4, and there's heavy rumors that it would be as early as october.
