Nero 6 messes up when you burn dual layer DVD's

Nero 6 messes up my dual layer DVD's. I now have to use dvd shink to create an iso file to burn with dvd decryptor. Is that the only thing i can do. I don't realy like creating iso files because i dont know how or if you can even use NERO 6 to burn them. I usually create the video title set and save it to my hard disk, then select create DVD video on NERO 6, drag, drop, burn, done, then eject. That went for single and dual layer, but not dual layer any more after NERO 6 kept messing up the thing. It woul play a little, then you couldn't search, it would pause so you would have to skip the whole chapter. Then trying to analyse the burnt version it would stop half way through.

can you do another burn with Nero and then save, copy and paste the log file into your next post to get deciphered

there are heaps of version 6 series.I need to know the exact version. eg 6.6.0.18 is the one i am running
