hi, i have a 3.2 ghz pentium 4 pc but i have noticed lately that when i click on internet explorer it takes about 40 seconds to start up which is not at all normal. when i first got the pc it was almost instant so why is it going slower now???? i have tried al the ovious things such as clearing cookies and history and i also did virus and spyware scan and nothing. so if anyone out there knows of anything i can type on run or something like that that will solvie this so it speeds up please tell me thanks again to anyone who can help. danny

could try dumping your prefetch.
are other things running show or just IE also what version of IE?

how would you go about dumping the prefix and im running ie 6 nothing else is running slow startup is fine normal speed for other programs only ie is slow. thanks

select all > delete
reboot
