oblibion sound question

So I got Oblivion 4 and it works just fine and everything is good. Now I have this problem thought, that game starts and I hear every sound, but after about 1 minute, the sound for weapons goes away. When you swing the sword or any other weapon it does not make any noise. The music is still playing and people still speak to me. Any ideas would be welcome!
