I'm new to this site, hope this hasn't been asked b4.

I got a Lite-On dvdrw shw-160p6s. I have made a cd and used DVD Decrypter, but when I go to play a movie on it nothing happens. I don?t know why. Anyone got any ideas? Thank you

Are you attempting to view the movie on the cd you used or are you trying to view a movie on a different medium? I'm quite confused by your statement.

If you can provide more info on the situation, we could probably help you better. What format/file extension is the movie labeled as? Is it an .AVI / .mpg / .VOB ?

So maybe I don't know what the Civil War was, or who invented the helicopter even though I own one, but I did beat The Legend of Zelda before I could walk. I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Make sure you have the latest firmware for that drive. You can download the latest from here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2175

Also, you will need software to play the movie. Dvd software will need an mpeg-2 decoder to view the movies. Since this is a movie you got from a store, you'll need software that is "licensed" to play the movie. Such software you have can use are PowerDVD, WinDVD, CinePlayer, Media PLayer Classic, or VLC Player...

Check to see if there were discs that came with this burner. You might have to check to see if you have software you can use to install so that you can view the movie.

If you don't have the necessary software, you can try either VLC Player or Media Player Classic...

Media Player Classic: http://free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm
