I have recently bought a new sharp flat screen hd tv. i've plugged my xbox360 in and it works like a dream.

However i have attempted to move the switch on the rear of the xbox from tv to hdtv. when i do this all i get is sound and no picture.

Any ideas what the problem might be? i'm sure i'm close to solving it but any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your console settings are set to where it is outputting at 1080i.

Yep through the dashboard...console settings

make sure your cables are hooked up correctly. and that you have the correct inputs matched up.
