What version of McAfee do you have? Have you uninstalled it?

Ok, you got some infections....

Cleaning instructions:

1.Move HijackThis into its own folder C:\HJT

2.Download BFU.zip -> http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip
Unzip it to folder C:\BFU

3.Download this removal script, rightclick, "save target as" -> http://metallica.geekstogo.com/alcanshorty.bfu
And save it to the same folder than where BFU was installed earlier (c:\BFU).

Do NOT use this yet!

4.Download and install Ewido, UPDATE it, but do NOT run a scan yet. -> http://www.ewido.net/en/download
We'll use it later.

5.Download VundoFix.exe to your desktop -> http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
* You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
* When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
* Turn your computer back on

6. Fix the following entries with HijackThis (run HijackThis, press "Do a system scan only", close all other windows, checkmark entries and press Fix checked):

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchURL = prosearching.com
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page_bak = prosearching.com

7.Restart your computer to the safe mode -> http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

8. Press Start -> My Computer -> Go to folder C:\BFU

-> Run BFU by doubleclicking BFU.exe
-> Type or copy/paste this to the "Scriptline to execute" -field: C:\BFU\alcanshorty.bfu
-> Click Execute and let it do its work (You should see a progressbar if you did this right)
-> Wait for the "Complete script execution" box and click OK.
-> Click Exit in order to quit BFU.

9. Scan and clean your computer with Ewido and save the log file.

10. Restart your computer normally.

11. Download SmitfraudFix.zip to your desktop -> http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip

Unzip it (folder named SmitFraudFix) to your desktop:

Open the folder SmitfraudFix and doubleclick smitfraudfix.cmd
Choose option #1 - Search by typing 1 and pressing "Enter"; a textfile opens and lists the infected files (if those exist)

Post the contents of this textfile to here.

(Some antiviruses recognises process.exe as a malware. It is not malware, it is a program that stops processes)

12. Post the following logs to here
-> Ewido's log
-> a fresh HijackThis log
-> smitfraudfix log
-> the contents of C:\vundofix.txt

Then we'll continue.
