Ok I did search the forums and read everything about media, and I have always used Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden, but everything i read you guys say to use 8x media, well 16x verbatim was on sale so i picked it up, I have read mixed things saying that if you burn 16x at low speed it wont work and if you burn it to high its bad for ps2 laser, plz help what speed should i burn the Verb 16x's at for PS2 thanks. :D

Well 8X is the best speed to use.
The general rule is to burn it at half the speed the disc is rated at so for a 16X disc the speed to burn should be 8X.
But for best results i would start out burning them at 4X the same as you would an 8X DVD
The faster you burn them, the worse the burn will be as far as quality. But with high speed media sometime burning them too slow, like 1X, will result in games that also do not work.

Sale or no sale you should not go out and buy discs if you have read that people have not had great success with them. You may have just saved money on a stack of discs that will not even work.
But you may get lucky since you bought a quality brand.
