No, not really
there are a few things you can try.
Like updating your burners firmware
Burning them at the slowest speed you can

Other than that you will just have to use them for something other than games. This is why media is so important when burning games, it must be quality media.

Just in case, What game is it and what method do you use to boot the copies. In case it may be a problem game that needs rebuilding and not actually the media.

I'm not trying to be funny, but you do already have a modded ps2 or some type of swap magic? you didn't say if you had it and i know i've read posts on this site where people tried to play backups with out the mod or swap magic disc

You should be good, BenQ is a great burner, it is also what i have.
Verbatim are good discs
And i know driver PL did not need anything specialo to copy,
not sure about Socom3
But if you did one at 4X and it worked fine then stick with that.
But in the future i would stick to 8X DVD-R

OH, i thought you had a BenQ burner. My bad
They are just very good burners.
Never tried BenQ DVD's before.
Other than updating your burners firmware, trying different burning programs (DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120%, or Nero), and trying different speeds between 1X and 4X i do not think there is much more you can do to make them work.
let me know how it turns out.
