Anyone had any trouble ripping it, I've tried Clone DVD2, shrink, DVD decrypter and DVDfab decrypter all with anydvd running in the background. I have the newest version of everything and have tried ripping it from 2 different drives, any ideas?

From Clone I get CRC errors, DVD decrypter fails reading, DVDfab decrypter freezes and shink complains about invalid DVD structures.

Sounds like a bad pressing or dirty disk. Take it back and get another and try that as DVDFab should have taken care of it.

The disc does look mint though, I've had loads of trouble with these red ones, I'm sure it's just a new level of protection.

I am with bilbo65. It is most likely not a new protection as I did
the longest yard and do not think there was anything special on it if I remember. I think I used Shrink only. if I used DVDFab I used the older version 2.9.7.2 and it worked fine. It played perfectly so
I think it is bad pressing as Fab, etc. should have taken care of it. Try taking it back and getting a different one then do please advise and good luck....

I've actually managed to do it, I thought DVDfab had frozen but it hadn't it was just going really, really, really slow! It took over 3 hours for dvdfab to rip it, then I just burnt it with clone.

If it took you so long to rip it with DVDFab - then it could very well have inserted blank video for you on the parts of the disc it couldn't read. Check the burned disc carefully to see if there are black parts in the movie.
