Hey all. Just got Swap Magic + Slide Tool for PAL PS2 (30004R) and trying to get a backup CD to work. When I pop in the SwapMagic CD, the PS2 reads it fine, as with any other CD.

However, when I slide it out and put in my backup, the console makes really strange sounds, like the CD is rubbing against the side of the CD reader. I tried different brands of CDs, but no luck. I think I burned the CD well, because I managed to get as far as the title screen. I also think I'm swapping the disc correctly, otherwise the PS2 wouldn't be able to read much.

So now I'm thinking... Either it's the rather old console (this is the one with firewire), or it's the brand of CD I'm using. What do you think? If it's the console, I'll look around for a fliptop PS2 or maybe a PSTwo... Or maybe even a modded one. If it's the CD, I'll go pick up some Sony CDs...

Anyway, thanks.
