yo,

all im trying to do is replace a file within an iso with another file on my hardisc (of the same filename). but when ever I drag over to overwrite the original file in the iso, it removes the LBA info.

I want to keep that LBA info because the file im replacing it with is of the exact same size and dont want any problems during burning, but i cant find a way to keep that LBA info because as i say, it just removes it.

I made a note of the LBA info hoping i could just re-enter it after replacing the file but i cant find an option anywhere and i cant find anything about it on google :/

anyone have experience with this?

thx

ok, how are you doing it?
have your tried this:
1. open ISO Buster
2. load the ISO file
3. Extract it to a folder on your hard drive
4. take the file you want and right click it and choose "save as"
5. browse to te folder of the file you want to replace and click on it, then press save or ok button, whichever is on the box.
6. it should say that the file already exists and ask if you want to replce it, then say yes and it will just over write the existing file with the new one.

a loy more information on what you are trying to do would help. Like why your replacing a file, and what the file is and what it is suppose to do.

thanks m8.

to be honest this was actually for a VCD ( i know wrong section, but it was the same thing technically & the ps2 section is more active)

Nero vision kept screwing up the transcoding and making the movie unwatchable so I was trying to overwrite nero's transcoded .DAT files with my originally encoded .DAT files (by 3rd part software) which were VCD/MPEG1 format.... and trying to enject those into the iso to overwrite the badly transcoded .DAT files by Nero vision.....

buts its ok because I found out you can burn VCD's with Nero Burning ROM aswell and i just choose my already converted MPEG1 files directly and can create the menu etc from there. (dont need to mess with any isos anymore)

sorry if this pisses any mods off but i was really pushed for time :) you can delete this if you wish.

thx again for the help stiemy.

glad you got it. Yeah all those different movie formats that things can come in can be a pain, but Nero has the ability to burn most of them, and others you can convert. Like DivX2DVD can convert DivX files to ISO or i think Video TS (vob) files
There are lots of video converters out ther, if you "aquire" a lot of movies you may want to check those out.
Although they do take ages to convert things.
