Ok So i'm new here and i have a slight problem. I was one of the lucky ones to get a 360 on lauch day but only a core system. Now my problem is here since a day or two ago my 360 to what i believe is freezeing up. I have only played Oblivion and Battelfield 2, but what will happen is on either game when i play it for like 10 or so it will either freeze up or the screen will turn green or blue with lines. Also if i rest it, it will freeze up on the load sign of xbox 360. And sometimes when it freezes, the 360 will make a beep noise. But most of this is leading me to beleive that it might just be going out which i could believe since its one the of first ones. But if anyone one knows what it might be that i could do to fix it or so let me know. If not it looks like i might have to shell out some more money and trade the old one in for a new one. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Have you ever seen the read lights flash on the "ring of light" also, have you ever turned you 360 from vertical to horizontal with a game in...both of these could lead to scary problems. lol, post back, and ill help.

I think from what someone said in another thread you could go to a Costco's and trade it in for a new one. You don't even need a recpt

Well i do remember one time i did slightly tilted it once with a game inside but just enough to losen a cord that got stuck under it when i was at a friends but i am hereing form another forum that my system may be dead.

i have had a very similar problem (with the freezing), I purchased the Nyko intercooler, and my problem went away!

wait, if i have a 360 problem, costco will take it back regardless? (please explain what I would need to do.)(I will probably do it when the 360 with the new chip comes out :))

usually if you set the xbox 360 clock then it will stop freezing. thats what microsoft told me when i called em. mine was freezing too and ever since i set the clock to the right time and time zone. it hasnt froze since

Wow...really? Thats pretty weird. O well, interesing Gamer 17.....wonder if it had to do with the the way the power input is and stuff in different time zones. humm>?

i'll say this, when my 360 was freezing up at the boot screen,after turning it off, if i waited 24hrs, before turning it on again, i could actually get to the dashboard, and when i had M$ on the phone they were like did u set the time and time zone, i said yes, well, each time i got it back to the dashboard the date/time/timezone we're all set to default again, i reset them to the correct date, and then M$ said restart it now and see if it works, nope it didn't, just fubar'd just like before, so they sent me a box to take care of it. but maybe if u didn't set the clock during initial setup or something, i don't know but it's a little fetched that it would fix everything, also was there anything else you changed around the same time gamer17?

Bottom line is if your having a problem with your X360 and you dont want to kill your warranty you need to send it in for repair. Also the intercooler is a good investment aswell.

TTownKlwn yep its true you can return it from costco but have to had it bought from there in the first place , 2) you need ur membership card if you dont have the recepit..

Logik666 : is totaly right.. if your 360 is meesed up call xbox cross fingers you still got your 1 yr or 3 months intact..

tanner : you have a bad console bro... you should get a new one in 2-6 weeks just hit up ms
