Hi folks,

I just bought the AV500 today. It recorded the TV fine, but when I a DVD to AVI program that I downloded from the Internet, it won't play the movie... keep saying the file is damaged or incomplete. So I tried the included movie... Band of Brothers-- currahee.avi and it says the same thing, file incomplete or damage... although, when hooked up to my PC, my PC can play those files fine.

What's going on? Why the AV500 won't even play the included movie, have I got a bad unit?

Please advise, Thanks a lot.
