any1 has one?? cause everytime i follow in the www.portforward.com thing, i managed to did all, but when i add into my router thing, the download speed dosent change.. and i once did J-Kwon's guide, by checking if the port is opened. But it says stealth, and dosent even have the port i added too.. I have a D-Link router (DI 624+).

so does the Open Port have anything to do with the Download speeds?
I am still not sure about the static IP but when i followed in the Portforward website, i managed to change to a 192.168.0.1. Then,I used this port number for "Private IP" , and I added into the router page. But, when i checked in the http://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2, the Shield Up thing, there dosent even have the port i just entered. BTW, the port I added is 192.168.0.1..
So can any1 give me a Detailed Guide??

and another last one, last time i tried using the Azureus torrent and its quite fast, but i dont know why everytime i use it, it will auto-disconnect my connection.. why is it? can any1 answer?

Thanks much to all who help me.

Either you didn't properly follow the instructions on Portforward.com, or you're connection just won't go any faster...
And FYI, 192.168.0.1 is not a portrange but an IP number...

well.. i followed the way portforward.com told me. first i go to network connections den i go internet/proctol part. i added the Subnetmask,IP adress,Default gateway and DNS into the blanks.(which i took from the run>cmd part) and the IP adress i got in the Internet/Proctol i took it as my Static IP.. i dont know whether whihc one is the real static IP..
and when i go to the grc website in the J-Kwon's post, when i check as 192.168.0.1(this is my router's website) they never say any port open or the number which i keyed in, it just give me all stealth, and only 4 coloums.. so can any1 help me of how to get a real static IP??

and, i last time used this Azureus program to download torrents. but whenever i start, after a while, the program will auto disconnect my connection.. so any1 has a solution to how can i make this dont happen?

Click the first link in my sig, download that pdf. If that doesn't help you, click the second link in my sig to learn the difference between static and dynamic ip's.

Then, if after using portforward's instructions, jkwon's guide, and my guides, you still can't do it, stop trying. :)
