I have an Emprex 8x which windows recognises, and it says it is installed and ready for use. When i put a dvd in it nothing happens. WHAT AM I MISSING? please i know its only a cheapie machine but until i can afford a new one its all i have got. I have got a cd rewriter but i need my dvd rewriter back. thanks alot

Go into Device Manager, uninstall the device and re-boot. Windows will re-install the drivers on boot up.

If you need more detailed instructions, post back.
