I just installed Nero 7.2.0.3b and InCd 5.1.0.5 and now when I format a Memorex DVD+RW for drag n drop (on a HP DVD writer 300n), the DVD is either corrupted or unreadable. Also tried to reformat a DVD+RW that was previously formatted by a previous release and that corrupted too. It claims that the disk is nearing the end of its useful life!

Anyone else have this problem?

P.S. I tried to create an MP3 DVD using Nero Express. It completed successfully, but the disk is unreadable.
Looks like I'll have a nice collection of table coasters!

If your using XP, InCD isn't required and causes problems. Uninstall it and use the Nero Clean tool for it.

Also, Version 7.2.0.3 is known to have bugs. I recommend going back to 7.0.8.2

Nero API version: 7.2.0.3 and 7.2.0.3b

This latest version of Nero is full of bugs, I recommend you uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install 7.0.8.2 a more stable version from here
http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version

The 7.0.8.2 version on http://www.filehippo.com had CRC errors.
But I hink I still have an original version from Ahead.
I'm going to try that.

No luck with that version either.
Now I have another Coaster for my collection.

Strange, it has no problem with CR-RWs, but the DVD+RW cannot be formatted in any way; I even tried to make an MP3-DVD and it was useless.
They really messed up this release of InCD.

Oh, and here's another error when I insert a blank disc:
0c60 06:05:29 12:13:43:21 e=2993. The device rejected read/write recovery parameters.(EDeviceAddError os=0h host=0h tgt=2h 05/26/00h @ ID=0_0_0_0 'HP DVD Writer300n')
0c60 06:05:29 12:13:44:00 e=0. Not writable by InCD: In disc info, disc status is 0 empty).

Are they trying to tell me they don't support my DVD writer any more?

Interesting now, I was able to create a DVD Movie with no problem.
So the problem appears to be related to disc formatting.

But here's the history log:

Your log looks good apart from one thing

You have Roxio installed, it conflicts with Nero, I recommend you remove it , also InCD

I'd like to add one thing to what Gwendolin said.

Physical memory : 511MB (523564kB)
Free physical memory: 67MB (69584kB)
Memory in use : 86

Free up some memory when burning. Shut down all unnessary apps such as Anti-virus, Spyware removal and any other that are running. Disconnect from the Internet and do not multi-task.

It's all fixed.
You were right on, with the conflict with CDRALW2K.SYS.

Once I renamed the file and removed it from the registry in the 'SharedDll's section, InCd started working again.

Thanks a million!!!!

The regulars already did the hard part, can I sweep in the end and say switching away from Memorex discs as soon as possible will help you in the future? Try searching their "manufacturer" CMC mag and read all the replies and threads dead against that "brand".
Glad everything else worked for you.
