ok, i want a crt for its picture quality and its price/value
but i've learned that crt's can't show 720p picture.
then whats the ultimate tv for a gamer who's on a budget?
crt with 1080i or lcd with 720p
what i really want is 16:9 crt monitor that can show 1366x768 resolution, can anyone find a monitor that meets these requirements.

You might try crutchfield, they have a sony, but it over 1000.00. From what I understand most companies have or are discontinuing crt models. I have a lcd, and with ps2 and component inputs, gaming is good. Look at the reviews, try cnet, or google for your requirements. Good luck.

anoter tip . try to get things only from costco :P .... they have LIFETIME FULL CASH RETURN POLICY. on everything.. say you buy a crt tube ( if you find any ) you pay 1200 and you get bored of it in 3 years... return it no questions asked and you get your cash back . not store credit or exchange... cash ... its a warranty from them on their entire store . doesnt matter if you get bored of it or it breaks or w/e.... thats whre i got my 360 ... hehehe

The good: Highest resolution of any consumer direct-view HDTV; independent memory per input; excellent color decoding.

The bad: Bulky tube form factor.

The bottom line: This is the reference standard for picture quality among direct-view HDTVs and happens to be a great value.
