seem to be having some problems with my second dvd drive on my ide cables

they are both on ide 2 but drive a seems to be udma 5 but drive b is only showing as udma 2

this is causing problems when burning 2 disks at once from my harddrive, the burn is succesfull but the speeds are all over the place

i use alcohol 120% and on the post butn stats for a single burnt disk is quite stable "steps"

but on a dual disk burn its unstable, wondered what i can do about this?

system

giga-byte motherboard , intel celeron 3.06ghz cpu, 1.5gb ram,1x160gb ide harddrive & 2 x 400gb sata, 2x nec 4550 burners, using ridisk extreme go5 dvd-r

any help please

could be im just too picky, the burn is fine with no skips etc, but i like a good burn to make sure there is no problems with any picky standalone players etc

(im a cameraman so the disks are from weddings and partys etc so not copyrighted in any way shape or form)
