hi i need to know the correct name for the need for speed game, i think its 'need for speed: hot pursuit' but when i check on the net all i get is the PS2 version of the game. i want to 'buy' the the ps1 game .
the game has cars like maclaren f1 gtr, merc clk-gtr. with cheats u can drive the BMW cop car and also a helicopter. oh yeh and all the race tracks are german names.... if that helps.

if any one know the name can u please tell me ...

It is Need For speed 2 and I am sure you can get the original Need For speed for Playstation, I got this info off of a google advanced search in five minutes and the site was at: http://www.gamespot.com/ps/driving/needforspeed2/review.html

i dont think its this game man, the one im on about has german and UK race tracks, its got lots of cars and its opening video is of 2 cars that stop near a trafic light. one car is sum big hotrod type car and the other is any random car. they both race and police chase them ... then they have to intercept a train , and eventually the police die.....
i also think its name is 'need for speed; hot pursuit' kos there are cops in it, hence the name 'hot pursuit; ......

actually i think you would find that the Need For Speed underground series for PS2 are the best out there.
Most Wanted has some of the best police chases you are going to get.
But glad you found it. EBgames has a little bit of everything. I have found quite a few hard to find games there.
