Ok i got ah copy of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for the PS2 i extracted the iso file from the winrar files it had in the folder but i burned it with alcohol 120% and Dvd Decrepter but still the same problem im not sure if its the burn speed im using that is causing this ive tried 2x and 4x but if their is ah right speed for this then tell me really want to play this game this was the name of the folder its in Super_Monkey_Ball_Deluxe_Repack_PAL_MULTI5_PS2DVD-WAR3X i dunno if its pal or w.e. that is thats causing the problem stikll dont know the differece with PAL AND NTC sumthing like that games but really need help on this THANX AH LOT!!

Its not a media problem, so the type he using won't matter.

The problem lies in the fact that you're attempting to play a PAL game (European) on your NTSC (USA) TV. PAL games run at 50Hz, whereas US TVs operate at 60Hz & your TV cannot process the signal correctly - hence the black & white pic/rolling screen.

Since the majority of US TVs don't (for some bizarre reason) come with RGB Scart support, that means you cant solve the problem by using proper RGB Scart cable for PS2 as you could if your problem was the other way around.

The only solution you have is to use a PAL2NTSC Patching program to modify the X & Y-Fix of the game, so it will display correctly. However, this won't always work with every game, and can often screw up the game altogether. Use the SEARCH function for more info on PAL2NTSC patchers.
In fact, had you used the SEARCH function in the first place, or read some of the 'Sticky' topics, then you would of had an answer to your problem before you even posted.

how are you loading the back up?
If you are loading it with SWap Magic then try choosing PAL as the screen mode on the main Swap Magic screen before you swap the discs.
It is set to "normal" by default.
Normally games from other regions will load in black and white, or the screen will flip out if the screen mode is not changed.
It is due to the difference in screen modes between PAL (mostly European) and NTSC (mostly US)
they have a different amount of lines per inch in the TV pictures in the 2 regions.

If you use any version of Swap Magc 3.0 or above the option will be on the main screen, the first one it loads.
There will be 2 things. one says something like load program, the other will say video mode and next to it say "normal"
You scroll down to that option and change it to the region of the game, in this case PAL
You would use this on the unpatched version.

That's most likely a media issue this time. What brand of DVD are you using?
It could also be that, and a drawback of NTSC2PAL patching combined.
But you do need to be using good quality media.

issued resolved got ah swap magic 3.0 disc burned it and loaded up threw my old swap magic 2.0 loaded 3.0 up chose NTSC mde and played perfectly thanx ah lot to the guy about the swap magic mode
