I want to get some sort of Gameshark or Action Replay on my modded PS2, I can easily play games that I download. I downloaded Action Replay Max from Torrentspy and I cannot get the disc to load, If I use a dvd-r it simply does not load, if I use a cd-r it messes up my ps2 and starts making weird grinding noises. Is their a proper burning method to get Action Replay Max to load? If so how? Appreciate any help.

AR works with CD-R, sounds like your laser is dying though - try cleaning the lens and also adjusting, if no luck then time for a new one

some PS2's just have problems reading a CD, it is not very uncommon.
But AR Max does go on a CD-R and not a DVD

Hmm alright, but why would my laser not like the disc? It reads dvd's fine. I dont understand why it's making the weird noises, almost sounds if it's eating my disc. Also how would I clean my PS2 lens?
