Epson R-200 and CIS, question

I had Epson R-200 printer which I installed Continuous Ink System (CIS). It worked for couple months then the Epson printer stop working.

Somebody told me that Epson put a counter on the R-200 printer, so when it prints to a certain number then the printer stops working.
Does anybody have the same problem, that your printer just stop working without a cause ??????
