Thought I'd start a thread where we can discuss goings on in the 360 world. This forum seems to be filled with peoples problems with disc formats, connecting to PC etc. so lets have somewhere to discuss upcoming games, upcoming accessories, upgrades XBL services etc....

are the multiplayer maps you're allowed to select from when you first play ghost recon the only ones, or do more become unlocked?

man... I was hoping people in the 360 forum had a little more balls than to make a pro 360 thread. no offense, oedekerk.
it's just that that pro ps3 thread reminds me of like a mini sandbox or the shallow pool that has more kid-piss in it than chlorinated water. The rest of the forum(s) is like the bigger pool that requires a little more skill and independence.
That ps3 thread is unbelievably saturated with bais; it would be a shame to see a mirror thread in the 360 forum.

He made this thread because he wanted to talk about upcoming games and stuff...........Just because the PS3 thread is baised,How do you know this will....Give it time and let it go........LOL...You never know if it will be good or bad untill it starts...

It's a thread to discuss upcoming releases etc. the 'Pro Xbox 360' was taking the slight p*ss out a slightly shallower thread, c'mon thought you knew me, at least a little, by now?
Anyway,who has Ping Pong? It's one of the BEST games i've played all year, and undoubtedly the best 'have a couple of beers and play some fun games with frineds' genre.

I wasn't meaning to sound like a dick or anything, and I don't doubt the positive intentions of oedekerk.
Still, though, I think it will be baised because it says so in the thread. "pro xbox 360 thread". That implies that any contradicting opinions of the 360 shouldn't be voiced, which will inevitably result in the same old people just reinforcing their own collective thoughts in a biased cluster of banter.
I didn't like the thought of a pro only ps3 thread. nor do i like the thought of a pro 360 thread. i'll be royally pissed is some nintendo kid decides to make his own safety bubble thread because he/she can't handle an opposing point of view.
I would love to talk about upcoming games, upcoming accessories, upgrades XBL services etc, but I wouldn't like it to be so one sided.

Just read that Peter Moore is backing away from the B/C promise - not cool.
I dont play old games and to be honest don't care whether it has b/c or not, but for those that do - there will be a couple more updates and no more B/C.
EDIT: Just realised I've failed already, that was a negative in my pro thread :)

Did they say when they were going to have HD-DVD players on the xbox360? Like a certain date, not a general "sometime next fall" or something like that.

if this is true then, what we saw is nothing of what the game will probably look like, i mean if its already playable then, they have all that time till early 2007 to improve graphics and and other small things to make it perfect and not rush it at all, or it might mean that it will release when the ps3 releases, like bill gates had said before.

I'm not the most excited person about Halo, but if they really are that far along in development, it should shape up to be very solid indeed. I find it hard not to like a game when so much time has been spent perfecting it e.g. Table Tennis/FNR3. I played Halo for a while, and hardly played Halo 2, but the third installment is getting so much hype I'm more and more inquisitive.
We need to see some footage man...

they will probably release the hd dvd player just before the ps3 releases, so it takes of attention form the ps3 and blu ray.
i am a massive halo fan, not b/c of the hype, i started playing the game well before any hype had got to it. and i see it only as a game that gives m a lot of fun, not something from heaven. so yes i am very excited about halo 3, b/c it should have sopmething halo 2 did not have, a great single plyer mode. it should have great graphics and should also have a great multiplayer that halo 2 had b/c of xbox live, but halo 1 did not have b/c it was not capable of xbox live.
i know that bunie can not really mess this up, its just not going to happen, MS are counting on this game and they will not dissapoint, i oly hope they take as long as possible, so that its perfect. if i was going to take a gues at when it might release i would have to say either end of this year to take the hype away from ps3, or this time next year just after e3.

I'll definitely pick it up, but i'm much more looking forward to Gears of War. It looks as though it's going to push gameplay to the next level which is good. A lot of games coming out for a while where taking core gameplay, and adding gimmicks. E.g. dead to rights gave you a canine companion, but the rest of the game was as mediocre as you'd expect. The next-gen wave seems to be a lot more focused, and is trying to establish a solid core gameplay. Halo had this I know, and it was good. It just didn't get my 'panties in a twist'.

can't wait for NCAA football 07, just picked up the tranfer kit by DATEL to download the rosters used the NCAA hoops 2k6 as a guinea pig, worked perfectly. It only cost 15 bucks well worth it for roster downloads, backing up your memory card etc. and comes with an XBOX 1 converter

hehe, fare enough.
as for gears of war, well i think it looks amazing although it did not win best graphics for console (bioshock won that with mass effect coming in 2nd place) but none the less it still looks next gen. the gameplay does look very interesting, something we have not seen in games recently. i think it could be massive on xbox live and really take multi player for duck and shoot to another level.
oh i take back what i said about halo 3 releasing the same time as ps3, b/c i just remembered that gears of war is planning on releasing around that time, so it would not be wise to release two of their biggest shooters in the same season, right. but even if halo 3 does take another year to release i think gears of war will keep us busy till then, not to mention, a few other games which i am also looking forward to like, chromehounds, which also looks fantastic and could be a really big xbox live game. then there is saints row which will also be something cool to keep us happy till halo 3 or in your case the future. oh and a few others like too human, viva pinuata (do not laugh its actually a really interesting game, just see it as more like a sims game then a childrens game) and mass effect. oh and nearly forgot huxley (well thats if it releases this year).

The difference is i'm not bothered if you wanna compare the 360 to the PS3, or point out dislikes about the 360. The only thing that bothers me is talk such as...
'PS3 OWNZ' or '360 OWNZ'
It's the only thread not invaded by fanboys... YET.
