Could Not Perform End of Disc-at-Once

I'm having this strange problem with Nero 7 Ultra (7.2.0.3b and/or 7.0.8.2) where if I use any DVD from this spindle of Memorex DVD+R's I get an error after about 2.5 minutes of burning saying (1st) Could not perform end of disc-at once and then (2nd) Burn process failed at 4x. If I try to burn the project again, this time popping in a Memorex DVD+RW or a Memorex DVD-R, I do not have the problem. Here is what I'm doing:
1) From Nero StartSmart - DVD - Recode DVD-Video
2) DVD recoded to 4.7 GB and saved on the desktop
3) From Nero StartSmart - Backup - Burn Image to Disc
4) Select the video folder from the desktop
5) Burn fails IF a Memorex DVD+R is in the drive, but works if it is a DVD-R or DVD+RW (all Memorex Brand)
Is it possible to have a WHOLE spindle of bum Memorex DVD+R's? Seems unlikely to me but...I donno. I've tried a couple of different versions of Nero 7. Here is my log file:

Your log indicates RICOHJPN which I thought were good discs, apparently not, have you tried something different like Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)

You also have Roxio installed, it conflicts with Nero, you can run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
Stick with Nero 7.0.8.2 as 7.2.0.3 is full of bugs.
BTW when you changed from 7.2.0.3 did you run the clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html before installing 7.0.8.2

I did use the CleanTool but I'm using the Roxio Zapper now (I had a hell of time trying to get rid of Roxio) and I'll get back to you on the progress. The discs are probably good...I mean the same brand in the DVD+RW and DVD-R work fine, I don't know why this spindle isn't working, but I figure it's software/drivers/firmware related.

But it's only 90% of the time. On a rare occasion I've seen this caused by driver conflicts. Either from other software, or drivers for the IDE Controller.
Old firmware on the recorder - Go to the recorder MFG's website to obtain the latest firmware for your recorder. (You may be able to obtain it from this link as well: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php)
Poor media - Try more than one brand of media. For example: TDK, Verbatim, Imation, Yamaha, HP, etc.
Poor IDE cable or incorrect cable - For higher end recorders these days if you use the 40pin cable you can have all sorts of unusual symptoms. It would be best to use an ATA-133 80 wire cable.
Driver conflicts - If you have or had another CD recording software installed on your system, its drivers could be conflicting with our software. This is rare for this symptom, but it does occur. Uninstall any other recording software and make sure all its drivers have been removed with it. Then reinstall Nero and make sure to use the latest version we have posted on our website.
Defective recorder - The optical head on your recorder may need cleaning or servicing. Or it's possible the circuit board on your recorder has an open coil or blown diode or resistor. Any of these could cause the error. Only solution would be to send the drive in for service to the recorder manufacturer.

The computer is brand new, and it works with DVD-R and DVD+RW of the same brand, so I doubt it's a physical problem. Is it bad that when I put a CD/DVD in it still asks if I want to open with Roxio? There is literally no trace of Roxio left on this computer except for that.
I used Roxio zapper. Same problem with burning though.

Roxio is difficult to eliminate from your comp, I would run the zapper again though. If you have tried a burn since running zapper, please post THAT log.

I ran the zapper a couple more times for good measure. I still have the Roxio thing on autostart, but when I selected it it didn't know what to do. So...the shortcut is still there for some reason but Roxio isn't there (I hope).

Ok, here is a successful burn on the Memorex DVD+RW. Could the whole spindle really be bad? Or I suppose just not a good match for my burner?

Actually Memorex have a really bad name and I wouldnt recommend using them at all but I havent seen then manufactured by RICOHJPN before, normally they are manufactured by CMC Mag, and they are REALLY crap discs....bite the bullett, try some Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)....Good luck.
BTW, the dreaded Roxio is gone.

Now I'm even more confused. So I popped in another one of those Memorex DVD+Rs and slowed the burning speed from 4x to 2.4x and turned off that Disc-at-once thing and the burn was successful. However, the "Time Remaining" counter started at 23 minutes and counted down to 0...but the DVD was only at about 26% when the counter ran out. It just kept burning with the time remaining counter at 0 until it got to about 70%, when the counter reappeared at 23 minutes again. This time, the burning finished when it hit 0. What the heck is going on?? Here is the log:
