recording audio from media center recorded video?

Ok, I want to capture the audio from the video I record with media center, is there any way to do this? I have nero express 3 and with that theres an option to record the audio off a video but I tried it and it saved the audio as a "wav" but when I play it theres no sound. Am I doing something wrong with nero?

No idea about using Nero but try this.
Im guessing these are .dvr-ms files.
Convert to mpeg using this
http://www.download.com/3001-11444_4-10444368.html
Then open in VirtualDub Mod and go to STREAMS > STREAM LIST and then hit "Demux"
