The xbox 360 uses dual layer dvd's...right...
so please explain how they can use that media forever!?
it's only double the predasessor, which is bad, even when sony went from ps1 to ps2,there was like 1:5 diffrence etc...and by the end of ps'2 cycle it's using the entire disk or close for alot of games...
but look at it this way...xbox 360 already has games that use the whole disk! not even one year after release(tomb Raider)...
that's bad, does microsoft honestly expect games in 4 years to still fit onto a dual layer dvd disk...insane! i don't get it,must be magic!!! sony on the other hand use blu rau, which in any case has the same transition effect as ps1 and ps2,meaning they never have to worry about space...so what,it microsoft gonna next year release a hd-dvd xbox 360,so that they can actually make games,or are the consumer gonna end a couple of years from now...having reall shitty games because they have to keep everything on a dual layer dvd...
this stuff amaziz me,please explain, because right now for me,microsoft are idiots...! unless of course every game next year has 2 disks not one....lol?

yo sony fanboy, give it a break, there are plenty of threads that explain stuff like this, it's about compression and other things, besides u can use 1 DVD18 instead of 2 DVD9's. and the size of games on xbox decreased as time went on, it becomes more managable, the games in the first year of a release usually don't take advantage of everything a new system has to off, ie graphic processing, storage, compression/decompression. so give it a rest, and do some research.
and i'm not a fanboy, so don't start on that one.
and fyi general console lifespan is only around 5 years, so keep that in mind. not how long it will work, but how long till it's outdated.

In skater685 defense, I believe that it was a honest misunderstanding of how the dual layer dvds work.
Quote: 360 is better im sorry but in about a year 360 is going to have the best games and online play than ps3. Im sorry fanboy but its true.

But, the fact that 'halotwo' called him a fanboy makes me kind of angry. It make me angry because that statement(refering to the quote above) is the worst speculation and fanboyism(that is right...I just made up a word) that I have ever heard. No one knows what is gonna happen in the next generation of gaming. Just be pacient and all will be revealed :D.

but if he searches enough, he'll find the answer's he's looking for, and he's doing alot of ps1 did this ps2 did this ps3 is doing this....
but if he searches about the different formats DVD5,DVD9,dvd18,Blu-ray,HD-DVD he'll find the answers about the exact storage capacity, if he looks up Xbox Gamesize progression, it'll give him an idea of how big the original xbox games grew or shrunk in size since the birth of the original xbox. same w/ ps1/2/3 titles, some stuff will just take up lots of space, and probably would have been better off on a dvd5/9/18 then on a bluray. but like i said, it's about compression and decompression mostly, and how you arrange the code of clean up the code to take up less space...i do know the launch title games for the 360, some of them weren't over 5gig (let alone over 4) so tombraider could just be kind of a poor port that takes up too much space on the medium.
don't forget ps1 did dual disks, so did ps2 for that matter.

There're plenty of other XBox vs. PS3 threads around, we don't really need another.
