Suspended due to non-functional email address

I have for years used MY copy of Windows XP Profesional and I have used it on many machines, 4 in my own house. All of a sudden I am getting an anoying message that has to be "clicked" to continue about "this software is not genuine" it don't stop me using the machine but it is aggravating any body else got the problem or a solution

disable auto updates for windows.
