Heya all. Being a webmaster of a very large Mortal Kombat site I was wondering how many here are waiting for the next installment, Mortal Kombat Armageddon? I believe that MKArm will be the MK we have been waiting for all these years. Every single character that has appeared in a game and some that haven't will be in this game, over 60 playable characters to make up the final Mortal Kombat Game in the current generation consoles.
Whilst some speak of the issue of continuity and if this is indeed the last MK with these characters, I tend to feel that it could become a fresh change if they did kill them off in this one as is expected. However how many could live with playing an MK game in the future without Scorpion and Reptile and Shang Tsung? Hmmm dunno how they'd top that.
The game features the all new version of 3D fighting, bringing along aerial combat too. The interesting aspect of aerial combat had been tried in MK4 but heavilly failed (due to the engine used back then) and now with the new engines in place and the whole new fighting style, aerial combat could just be back to how it was back in MK2. Remember all those fancy aerial combat moves? (Kitana's stick to mind) I personally believe MK Armageddon will exceed our expectations...If they don't screw up, like they did with MKD.
As MK fans will very well know it will also house an adventure mode like MKD had, but more to the gameplay likes of MK Shaolin Monks. (Hopefully the FMVs and acting will be better then MKSM) The adventure is the storyline basically. Whilst most things will most likely be unlocked in the adventure mode, it will also detail the story prior, and leading to Armageddon. What will be the final outcome? what will come next in the MK Franchise? we will have to wait and see, but I for one am gearing up for what is very well looking to be the game of 2006.
