Depends where you're from. One area's backup is easier than the other.
The NTSC retail version is on a normal DVD & works just fine with Swap Magic making a straight 1:1 copy with DVDecrypter.
The PAL version is on a DVD9 dual-layer disc & will require ripping to DVD5, possibly 2 discs.

All tools required for rebuilding etc.. are freely available in the Downloads section of backupscene.com, accessable from the main portal page, in the left side Nav Bar.

Yes, the PAL version of 24: the game can be rebuild to 1 DVD-5 disc, I've done it.. but it's long and involved to do.. search for "24: the game" to get the instructions on how to do it.. it's not perfect though, the game itself works great, but the cut scenes can skip/freeze occassionally.. if it does that just press a button to skip the cut scene.

Almost the same problem here :-(

I have rebuilt "24: the game" (PAL version) using the method and tools described in mik3h's "PS2 Games Stuttering And Skipping... Slow loading times..Or Just Not Booting Up At All? Take A Look Inside" tutorial. (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681)

The game starts OK, but after some levels (to be exact after the point the Jack escapes the federal building that entered to transmit the decoder program) during the autosave the game freezes and the screen goes black and flashes blue round the edges.

To make things worse, it also corrupts my game save. I tried to play the game again from the begining, but the problem occured at the same exactly point.

Is this a problem of this particular game (just like GT4, for example)? Any ideas?

I used the original to make the backup, too...

@Biggie76
At which point does the game freezes? Is it at the same point as mine?

You've already been told the answer to that in your own topic, so why ask again in a previous topic?
